Uncle Sam Where is My Economic Stimulus Check?

Since last week, after the government announced that the stimulus checks are on its way to our bank account I was quite excited. Everyday I check my bank account online to see if the check is already deposited since my wife and I received our 2007 Income tax return refund by direct deposit so we should be receiving the stimulus check by direct deposit too. Unfortunately, I am always disappointment until today because every time I check the account the money is not there yet. Where is my check Uncle Sam? Today I did some inquiry regarding this issue so I googled, “my stimulus money did not arrive yet,” it showed me some of the bloggers blog that has the same concern as I am. One of the blogs gave some answers but since I was not satisfied with the answer I decided to go to IRS website and found useful. There is a tool that will calculate how much you are going to receive by just keying in you social security number (don’t’ worry it is secured) and keying in answer which you can find in your 2007 income tax return. There is another tool that will estimate when are you going to receive your check either through mail or direct deposit. By answering a few of the questions I found out that our check will be deposited on May 9, 2007 darn it I thought I can receive it earlier. Anyway I am quite happy that I know when I will receive my stimulus check and it means too that I won’t be checking my bank account until May 10, 2007.
