Saudi Arabia Recruiting 2,000 Nurses

With the current economic instability in United States, hiring of nurses abroad might be affected.  In fact, business here are in a hiring freeze or giving out pink slips to workers.  The good news is Saudi Arabia is still hiring Filipino nurses.  One door closes temporarily another door opens.  The Ministry of Health of the kingdom is reported that they urgently need 10,000 nurses to fill the vacancies.

Referring to the ongoing recruitment of Filipino nurses, Chita Cilindro, regional director for the Manila-based Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), said that the recruitment is being made by the Saudi Ministry of Health in cooperation with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).

She said: “The recruitment process was assisted by POEA, an attached agency of DOLE; and the Saudi Embassy in Manila.” Cilindro also called on the applicants to approach the recruiting agencies as early as possible.

Cilindro pointed out that the candidates must be graduates in nursing with or without work experience. She said there will be no placement fees and that the salary range will be between SR2,250 to SR4,000. [source]

However, the first thing that you can do is visit the website of POEA http://www.poea.gov.ph and see if you find useful info regarding how to apply.
